Green finance is investments and other financial instruments aimed at implementing environmentally friendly, energy efficient and low carbon projects. The main instruments of green financing are "green" bonds, soft loans, subsidies for green projects. These financial instruments help green projects to develop, which is impossible under normal financial conditions.

To date, the necessary conditions have been created in Belarus to ensure the possibility of using securities market instruments to attract investments in developing enterprises of the energy sector, to improve energy efficiency, waste management, transport, including bonds usage, which funds from their placement will go to the implementation of environmentally oriented projects.

Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange is a platform for the placement and sale of "green" bonds in its trading system.
